Stacey Castor – Anti-Freeze Killer

Stacey Castor (born July 24, 1967) is a resident of Clay, New York and a convicted murderer. In 2007, she was charged with second degree murder, second degree attempted murder, and offering a false instrument in the first degree. She was found guilty of poisoning then-husband David Castor with antifreeze in 2005 and attempting to murder her daughter, Ashley Wallace, with a drink of crushed pills with vodka, and orange juice. She is suspected of having murdered her first husband, Michael Wallace. Castor met Michael when she was 17, and in 1985 they married and had their first daughter, Ashley, in 1988. In 1991, they had a second daughter, Bree.Castor was employed by an ambulance dispatch company, while Wallace worked nights as a mechanic. Stacey claimed she was “best friends” with Ashley. The couple grew apart and in late 1999, Wallace began feeling ill. He died in early 2000. Doctors told Castor that Wallace died of a heart attack.

In 2003, Castor married David. In 2005, at 2:00 p.m. one afternoon, Castor called the sheriff’s office to tell them her husband locked himself in their bedroom following an argument and was not responding to his cell phone. Unable to get a response, Sergeant Robert Willoughby kicked in the door of the bedroom, found David dead and near his body were a container of antifreeze and a half-full glass of bright green liquid. The coroner concluded David committed suicide by consuming antifreeze, but when police found Castor’s fingerprints on the glass of antifreeze and located a turkey baster with David`s DNA, they suspected Castor engineered her husband’s death by force-feeding him once he became weak. The investigators exhumed Wallace’s body.  Antifreeze poisoning killed Wallace. On Ashley’s first day of college Castor invited Ashley to go home and drink together. Ashley agreed because Castor was not only her mother but her “best friend.`The following day, Castor offered her a “nasty-tasting” drink she refused but eventually drank because she trusted Castor. Seventeen hours later, Ashley was found comatose on her bed by her younger sister.Castor made the 911 call. Ashley’s sister found a suicide note beside Ashley. The note was Ashley’s “murder confession”. Potentially fatal painkillers were in Ashley’s system. When Ashley awakened she said the last thing she remembered was her mother making her an alcoholic drink. She told the officers she did not write the note and was confused about their accusations. watch tragic end for black widow`s first love

In 2007, Stacey was arrested for second degree murder in David’s death and for attempting to murder Ashley and frame her for the murders of David and Wallace. Ashley was 11 at the time of her father Wallace’s death.  Given evidence of the evolution of Castor’s illness, they concluded Castor fed her husband antifreeze through the baster before trying to make it look like a suicide. On February 5, 2009, Castor was found guilty of second degree murder in the poisoning death of David and of attempted second degree murder for overdosing her daughter Ashley with drugs and vodka. watch did black widow kill two husbands

Thanks to court and police policies, the attitude is always “mean male abuser”,this leaves the door wide open for truly evil women to literally get away with murder,This women would have never been caught for the first murder had she not done it a second time.

    • gothrules says:

There is some truth to what you say. I don’t know that courts dismiss the idea that women can be abusive murderers, however. Throughout history there was a time when that was quite likely (not during the Salem Witch Hunts of course). However in this case I do believe this woman wouldn’t have been caught unless she had indeed murdered twice.

I watch Discovery ID a lot and have seen a lot of crazy folks, but she ranks easily in the worst I’ve seen. Trying to kill her own daughter to try to frame her puts her above other psychopathic killers.
Wierd how they can function so well in society and never give off clues that they could care so little about anyone else but themselves, that they would easily squash them like a fly.

  3. BENGALPUSS says:

What a wicked woman, trying to lay the blame on her own daughter, and just imagine if the daughter would of died, she would of gotten away with murder for the 3rd time.

Is it possible to send mean letters to prisoners? Nothing obscene, just a nice little reminder that they’re terrible and the world is a better place because they’re in prison.

    • helthnut says:

I should imagine it is depending on the prison and its policies. Prison authorities always screen mail before it reaches prisoners, so they ultimately decide what reaches a prisoner and what doesn’t. When mail is denied, it is returned to sender.

I also watched the ID Discovery program about Stacey Castor. She is in a class all by herself! What a narcissistic monster. A sociopath! And the grandmother is even worse. Truly delusional!
